I guess before I begin our family journey into the experience and adventure of becoming a Surrogate Mother/Family, I should introduce myself and my incredible family!
I'm Autumn! I'm 28 years old and a wife to Jeff and a Mommy to Tatum and Gavin (and Onyx and Kaya - our two dogs!). I come from a very open and communicative family and I strive to bring these same traits into my family. My husband, who was once a man who sat on his words, now is a man who will turn to me when he's contemplating something and will tell me his thoughts. Tatum, at 3 and a half, has gotten a Level 4 Mastery on expressing his emotions on his Preschool mid-year report. Gavin, whose 1, openly shows his emotions, thoughts and frustrations in his own language! So, I guess the communication has been brought into my family! I am a working mother; I work from home for Aetna. I do project management type of
work and really enjoy those that I work with. When not working, I'm attempting to keep our house clean, keep my two little ones challenged and not "bored" and visiting family.
Jeff is 30 and is a Helicopter Pilot. He really enjoys his line of work although his schedule is hard to become accustomed to when we're spoiled with having him home for 7 days in a row; those 7 days back on are rough! Jeff is a very patient, kind and understanding person who really gets me. He undestands my stand point on many things in our lives and knows how to calm my anxiety when things dont turn out how they're supposed to me. He knows how to make our boys laugh uncontrollably and has such a loving nature about him.
Tatum is 3 and a half and is such a little person. He challenges EVERYTHING and definitely has a mind of his own. He has the voice of an angel - very soft yet the best alliteration! He loves to cuddle, hug and give kisses and is just the pure example of LOVE. No matter how disobedient he is; he can just look at you with his long eye lashes and mischevious smile and say "I love you so much!" and you seem to forget what he just did wrong. I definitely need to get control of that now before he gets even better at it!!!
Gavin is 1 and is completely opposite from his brother. He loves his food and is 100% happy when fed. He is very independent, however comes and surprises you with hugs and kisses! He is a big fan of our dogs, Onyx and Kaya, and enjoys cuddling with them more than myself and Jeff. Gavin loves his brother and really looks up to Tatum and tries to copy everything that Tatum does. Our family is complete!
Looking back years ago, I could have never imagined having a family of all boys. Now, I wouldn't change it for anything. Being a mommy of two precious little boys and a wife to the love of my life surpasses anythign that I have ever thought or wanted for myself in life. In this blog, you will learn a great deal more about myself and my family and the extremities that we will go to to continue to be a happy family and how we put other people and their wants in front of our own to ensure happiness is captured all around.
I want to thank you all in advance for following us on our blog and we hope that you enjoy the future story/stories that will be created!
Enjoy :)
